Why is there a massive hang while adding domain?

    Hey there,

    Just trying to add a site for the first time. Selected the theme and domain (opted to have a .com one for the 18AUD price instead of just the free WordPress one), got all the way to the ‘Getting started’ – ‘Adding your domain’ page and it completely and irrevocably hangs (been about 20-30 minutes now). Am I doing something wrong or is this normal? Doesn’t matter whether it’s on the computer or the mobile site, happens either way.

    Could you help with this at all?

    Hi @jacoandbecks , we didn’t see this earlier. That definitely sounds weird — we’ll try to figure out what happened. I did notice you were able to add a domain in the meantime. Let us know if you still need help with that. Thanks!

    Hey thanks for replying! I’m not sure what it was but I think it was the disparity between having selected ‘map for $18’ but not being able to pay on that site so it could never get past setting up the domain. Fixed it by just selecting the free wordpress domain, and then mapping afterwards.

    Thanks @jacoandbecks :) We were able to see some similar cases where people had hyphens in their names, and that doesn’t seem to be the issue here. I’m glad you were able to work it out.
