Why is there an $80 late fee to renew my domain, when the payment is only $18? That is really unfair. I want to renew my domain but that is messed up to gouge people like that, I am not rich. Please work with me and lower this, I was not aware it had expired or I would have renewed. Help. Please email me at (email visible only to moderators and staff), as that is the email I use, thank you.

Your domain kellybrinn.com expired on 1/18/15.
Before it expired, we sent email warnings and displayed notifications on your dashboard. After a few weeks past the expiration date, a late renewal fee is added to the cost of the renewal ($80). That fee is charged to WordPress.com by the registrar and is not one we can wave.
If you would like, you can renew your domain here:

Alternatively, you can let your domain expire (normally takes 80-90 days) and then try to register it again for the normal price. However, your domain may be sold on back-order or put up for auction during the expiration period.
You can learn more about expired domains here:
I’ll also send this to the email you specified!
