Why is there an extra number added to MP3 file name?

  Hi,

  I’ve got a question that I hope you can kindly help me out with. I uploaded an mp3 yesterday but had to taken it down because there was an error with it. Now I went to Media and deleted it. Last night I uploaded the corrected version back up. Now, for example, say the original name of the mp3 was “NYC_After_Dusk_11_11” Now when I uploaded the corrected version up last night I gave the mp3 the same name. In Media it shows it under that name but when I click on it there it takes me to Edit Media and the file name now has an extra one added to the end of it. So now it’s “nyc_after_dusk_11_111.mp3”

  Is there any way to get rid of that extra one in the file name by any chance? Thanks for the help. It is greatly appreciated! :)

  There isn’t a way to get rid of the extra 1. Because we use multiple servers to manage so many images, we always append a number when there is more than one file even if the first file was deleted.
