Why is there another wordpress blog with the same name as mine?

  The name of your blog is not trademarked. However, the URL for your WP.com blog, and your WP username, cannot be duplicated.

  …and, if having a unique name is important to you, this is how you trademark a blog name (in the US):

  If one types in the url= it takes you to the other blog-but if Icopy and paste my url from my dashboard on wordpress-then it works to take you to mine. It is liable to be very confusing for people trying to visit my blog but get the other one instead.

  That is also typical when someone makes a spelling error – you have a long name and long names are prone to spelling errors –
