Why is there no appearance editor so I can add google analytics to my site?

  There is no appearance > editor function on my site. I cannot add google analytics javascript to my pages or my theme as demonstrated by online blogs and tutorials.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins like Google Analytics on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. If you want that then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. Here’s the comparison http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Hi WP support community! Issue: There is no Appearance > Editor function or option on my dashboard. I’m running the 2012 theme. So I cannot add google analytics javascript to my pages or my theme as demonstrated by online blogs and tutorials. Is there a way to add my free google analytics code to free wordpress without buying either a wp or google analytics upgrade? Assistance with this question is much appreciated!

  There is no such access because you have a blog hosted by WordPress.COM. Please read this comparison carefully http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and note what I already posted directly from the support docs above. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#additional-info
