Why is there no easy option in support to renew domains?

Seems really counterproductive that I choose the option to renew my domain after unfortunately letting it expire, and then I am taken to the support page with no answer on how to do so. Why is there no option on the support page or link on how to do this? Am I just missing something?

Did you go to Dashboard > Stores > Domains and try to renew your expired domain there? If you can’t then contact Staff for help.

A whois – it looks like your domain name is in Redemption so you will need staff help for the renewal and you will also need to pay a bit more than the normal renewal – that is set by the Registrar that WordPress.COM work with.
