Why is there no way to stop the Like spammers!!

  Site owners should have the option to remove these “Like” spammers when they follow you – those who “follow” you but not because they have a genuine interest in the blogger but only for their own profit – at MY expense. Come on Matt. Get real, dude. WordPress is being swallowed up by the spam community and you folks don’t see it? What a crock of dookie.

  Hi there,

  Many WordPress.com users legitimately like a lot of posts, and while some may be spammers, many others are not. Since there is very little to be gained from such activity other than to boost the blog’s site views and interactions, in general we do not consider this to be spammy behavior.

  If you are having an issue with Likes, you can disable them for a single post or for your entire site.

  And that is the only recourse WP users have since WP condones this type of spam. Topic closed.
