Why is there only a "save draft" button and not "publish" on one of my pages?

    I am having my students build websites for one of my classes, one student is trying to type information into a new page and instead of the “publish” button that I am used to seeing there is only a “save draft.” Thank you.

    This sounds like a user role issue.

    Is the user logged into the blog a ‘contributor’ (who can only write but not publish posts) or an ‘author’ (who can only publish their own posts but not others)?

    If that doesn’t clear things up, please confirm both the address of the blog and the user trying to publish a post and I can look into this further for you.
