why is this not easier

    why is this not easier?
    i have been working on this damn blog since 1 pm. it’s now 11:34 pm and i still can’t get it to be correct. i have even uploaded from my MS word directly to the site. but it keeps doing the same thing.

    the title is fine.

    but the body of my blog seems to seperate the first sentence from the rest, like so

    and i can’t seem to close this gap.
    what’s the point? i use blogger and have issues, so i thought i would try out wordpress, since it claims to be easy. it’s not.

    i can’t get anything to display correctly and i can’t seem to preview it, and i can’t work with it. had i known i’d have to read a bleedin’ book ‘the how to’s of wordpress’ i wouldn’t have bothered signing up. blogging shouldn’t be this hard.

    i have posted 7 times and trashed all 7 posts because of the stupid inconsistancies of the body. i even tried cutting and pasting, and what’s really frustrating, is it would paste something i didn’t copy. but yet, when i cut it and paste it, it would still paste something i didn’t cut.

    i am beginning to think blogging really sucks. i just want it simple. i want to post my stuff without hassles. without complications.

    and worst of all, i have damn forums. i don’t want to read about everyone else’s issues and problems, i just want an answer to mine, now, i see, this will go to some damn forum. i don’t like your site at all.

    Hi Jimmy,

    This is a peer to peer forum, and it is the best forum I’ve ever seen online. I understand how frustrating it can be to seek help in forums, but please take a chance with us?

    We are mostly your fellow bloggers (mostly volunteers) with experience using WordPress.com.

    I see you have started a blog only about 13 hours ago. While wp.COM is very versatile it can be a bit difficult to start with as a beginner.
    Have you tried to go through the tutorial designed to get you started:

    Please realize that ms word is a fine bit of software for wordprocessing, but it does not speak “web” so it is not good to paste things into any blog software with that program.

    Well, maybe we don’t like YOUR site either.

    Stop using WORD; it will screw up your blog.

    Go to Settings->Writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML” which will prevent copy/pastes from messing up future posts. Then go back and Edit that post, and Update, and then that setting will be applied. It means that any code errors that Word introduced will be automatically fixed.
