Why is transferring from our current domain holder to you better?

    Hi there,

    To use a custom domain on your site (instead of the “wordpress.com” address we assign) you will need to upgrade to one of the plans we offer here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    When you upgrade, you get a free transfer and one free year of registration, so the primary advantage is it saves you a bit of money (vs. renewing it next year with the company it is under now)

    A secondary advantage is you do not need to pay two companies to keep your site current. Instead of having to renew here and renew the domain at the current registrar, everything is here “under one roof” so to speak, so you can make your life easier by just renewing at one place (wordpress.com) after you transfer the domain to us.
