First, please turn off your CAPS LOCK. It is considered shouting to use all caps in online forums, so please don’t do it.
Second, it is quite impossible to help you if we don’t know what your actual problem is. Please try and explain exactly what you’re having trouble with, and we’ll try our best to help you with it.
-
Please start your own thread, as it’s generally easier to help different people in their own threads, especially if their problems are unrelated. You can start your own thread at this link: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1
Please also give details of exactly what you’re struggling with, and we’ll try our best to help you.

IMHO it’s not learning how to blog that’s complicated. That’s covered in step by step fashion here http://learn.wordpress.com. Learning how to set up the newer themes like the one https://wordpress.com/themes/intergalactic/ which being used on the site above that can be baffling when one has no content to work with. The folks I work with (who never post here) are instructed (by moi) to make the blog visibility private and create at least 4 posts and 4 pages before I will help them with theme set up. If they start with theme set up first and then choose a more complex newer theme like Sela, Edin, etc. and they tackle custom menu creation when they have no content published then they are in the ditch in no time flat.

No you aren’t correct; I’m upset because I think WordPress is too bloody complicated. I can do a decent editorial but I have no idea where it’s going, who’s reading it or how I’m getting it there. There’s a learning curve here that I might be too busy to learn. There’s some text next to this window that I don’t understand at all.
Allowed markup: a blockquote code em strong ul ol li.
You can also put code in between backtick ( ` ) characters. -

You can also put code in between backtick ( ` ) characters. This is just a list of HTML that is allowed in forum replies. In your case, you don’t need to worry about that. Ignore it.
johnbernard2013, for the rest, want to take it one step at a time? How can I help?! What do you want to do first? What kind of a site are you trying to setup and what are your goals?

IMHO – What is this supposed to mean and what or who is, ‘timetheif’?
Am I getting into a world where grammar has no meaning?

IMHO is shorthand for ‘in my humble opinion.’ It’s just something people say online sometimes.
timethief is a forums volunteer who has been helping people in the WordPress.com forums for many years.

Possibly. :) Luckily, you can make sure your blog is grammatically correct though!

WordPress has to study other blogging websites. it might be easy for their technocrats. but Wp has to consider that bloggers are creative writers, they are not programmers. it is not user rather blogger friendly website. to learn how to blog in Wp is a headache. the font style needs coding..why? make it simple. why google is ahead, why apple is ahead, because they have made things easy. I belive if Wp make things simple as blogspot from google, number of Wp users will increase by ten times. insted of waiting for bloggers frustration and abuse them, Wp technical staff has to study others and improve themselves. i can understand CAPITAL complains. which is reflection of frustration. Wp staff has to take it positively and improve their system. But here Wp is teaching etiquettes and manners to bloggers. I was thinking Wp staff is matured enough. Instead of blaming bloggers Wp has to take these complaints in a matured manner. instead of blaming bloggers, its alert for them. otherwise study what happen to Orkut… when facebook came.. where is yahoo when gmail came …public is above all. it gives star-ism to any portal or business and it dumps you down in gutter. Insted of teaching manners to public, take this as alert to Wp improve your system. i also tried to put my work on Wp but got frustration ultimately. There might be millions of people reading this issue but not reacting. Get improved or get ready to finish with Time…

I appreciate your feedback and hear that you are frustrated. One thing that WordPress does is offer a lot of room for customization—which can feel daunting if all you want to do is write. Customization is a tradeoff. What’s interesting in WordPress is that there are very simple routes while there are also more complex routes you can take to dig in and really customize. Different people like different routes. One example is that WordPress.com has a custom fonts tool that allows you to make basic font changes with a few clicks. The only reason you would need to use CSS code to change fonts, which is one advance route, is if you would like to make customizations beyond what is offered through the custom fonts tool.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-fonts/Thanks for your feedback. I do care about what you’re saying and appreciate hearing specifics about what things are hard to use.
