Why is WordPress asking to store stuff on my hard drive

  I’m constantly seeing this message when in the ‘control panel’ of my WordPress blog:

  Do you want to allow “https://wordpress.com” to use up to 1.2 GB of storage on your Mac?

  I click on ‘no’ but it keeps returning – is it legitimate or some kind of virus?

  It’s not a virus but it does sound annoying. There have been a few other people reporting a similar issue when using Safari. See:

  Is there any change if you remove stored cookies and data? https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-and-website-data-sfri11471/13.0/mac/10.15

  Oh, I just removed cookies for WordPress and wp and it seems to have fixed it!! Brilliant, thanks so much!!
