Why is WordPress not finding my latest photos in iPhoto on my Mac?

  I am attempting to upload new photos from iPhoto on my Mac into my WordPress library, and WordPress is not showing the latest iphotos from my Mac. Is something wrong? Hope you can help. Thank you!

  Hi there,

  Is the iPhoto Library grayed out when you try to upload images from Add Media? If it is, grab the images from your iPhoto library and place them in a new folder or on your desktop. Then you should be able to upload those images into your WordPress.com Media > Library.

  You can also export the images from iPhoto by going to File > Export in iPhoto. Then you can upload the images from the file you exported it to.

  Hello there. . .my iPhoto Library is not grayed out. Everything is ‘normal’. . .I have access to all 12,000+ of my photos except for the last 20 I downloaded a couple days ago. . .strange. Any other ideas, Grace?

  It seems like an issue with iPhoto rather than our uploader as we wouldn’t have access to that. What does Apple say regarding this?

  I believe so – I haven’t heard of this happening so I’ll keep an eye out. Does the same happen when you try to upload an image from iPhoto to say Facebook?

  No problem with the iPhoto to Facebook connection. I posted an album of my newest photos just before I attempted to create a new post on my blog with the same new photos. . .and BOOM! my new photos were not showing up and are still not showing up when I attempt to access them via WordPress. I will reach out to Apple and see what they say. . .then will let you know. Thank you!

  Hello Grace. . .I just turned off and turned on my computer for a classic, old-school reboot, and guess what? Everything is working normally with WordPress and my iPhoto system once again. There is great wisdom in simplicity. Thank you for your attention and help. All the best–David.
