Why Is WordPress Slower than a Slug for Me?

  Recently, I have found WordPress has made it nearly impossible to author a blog. Every time I want to save it, it takes forever and makes some mention of loading Google Maps down in the lower right of my Firefox 3.5.7 (on a PC). My blog is at http://BCphotoadventures.wordpress.com Is there some widget I added that is doing this? Any thought appreciated, as this is most frustrating.
