Why is WordPress slowing down so much?

  WordPress is getting slower and slower – is there some problem? It is becoming so slow and difficult to use that it is stopping my whole computer.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It might be because of the snow: http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2014/12/09/holiday-theme-together/

  You can turn it off by going to https://wordpress.com/me/account unchecking the snow option and saving the change.

  Thank you for that – that does appear to have solved the problem

  I don’t mean to rain on WordPress’s parade but as someone from the Southern Hemisphere I am so tired of this Northern Hemisphere-centric approach to Christmas decorations – believe me, if it snows here where I am, the world has ended!
