Why is WordPress so slow – Still the same problem

    I’ve been reading this forum for over a month searching for a solution to a problem witch seems to be kind of common: why is so slow to access my WordPress blog most of the time?

    I mean the while blog, not only the dashboard or other features. I click for example on Widgets and takes one minute or so to access the page. Save a post most of the time takes the same, after the button is available. The same for loading the homepage. There’s a problem everywhere here, most of the time.

    The best thread I read about theses problems so far is this:

    And I have done everything it is suggested there and in every other posts in this Forum and I still can’t find a solution. Any extra clue?

    I’m using an iBook, up to date Mac OS X 10.5.8 , and the problems began with no obvious reason, things just came slow, period. The browsers I have tried: Firefox, Safari and Chrome from Google.

    What I can’t see is why WP still haven’t issued an official comunicate or bulletin about this issue. All the threads that I have seen so far are closed for comments. Why is that?

    I have had that issue too, multiple times. I have found that restarting my computer often helps. Even though it is a huge pain in the ass. Try checking your internet connection too, and what programs are running while you are trying to access Word Press. If all else fails and support has nothing to say, try the Genius Bar. With my computer they found a site approval missing for Google. Sounds stupid, but once I put it in… Fixed everything!

    Also note that they way you access the internet (dial-up, broadband, mobile, satellite) and connect to wordpress.com are factors as well. How many hops and jumps through how many proxies your ISP makes to connect you are significant factors in slow connection time scenarios.
