Why is WordPress Subscription Email Not Sending?

After creating my blog the WordPress subscription email is not sending to my account email address – meaning I am currently locked out from being able to post to my blog. I am the author of the post, email notifications are enabled, and my junk/spam folder is empty (with wordpress.com as an approved email sender).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I was able to resolve my own issue:
1.) changed email to a different email and clicked on link when validation email was sent to new email address
2.) from WordPress account then resent validation email to new email address (no subscription email sent when email address changed)
3.) clicked link in new email
4.) email account officially validated
5.) changed WordPress account email back to original email
6.) clicked link in original email inbox for subscription validation and account was re-validated for original email.Apparently WordPress had a glitch in their system – I hope this helps someone else someday!

I have also been having the same problem for the past few days. i am trying to set up a new account for a non-profit arts organistion i work with, but it is just not sending the confirmation email & proceeding to create the blog/wordpress.com site. everything on the signup page is being green-check-marked, then whatever permutation of setting up the free blog i use just refers back to the signup page, with the credentials i have already typed in. The email account is a gmail. i have tried the above solution using another email account (British googlemail) but without success. i have also asked a friend to set up the account using the same credentials (on a different machine/IP address etc) but to no avail. Spent several hours on this now – very frustrating :( any help much appreciated! -

There is no blog linked to your username and you did not provide a URL.We provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs.
We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and post to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ if you are referring to a Wordpres.ORG install.I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now.

Hi there,
i am trying to set up a free blog/site on wordpress.com via this page:
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/
it will not progress my registration – i fill in all the forms, they are all green-check-marked, i click ‘create blog’ and it pretty much just seems to refresh that page. i have spent a couple of hours trying different permutations/via different routes to ‘sign up’ but to no avail.
the new site i want to set up is separate from & uses a different email from my personal sites (which are https://costuminy.wordpress.com and https://weddiny.wordpress.com ).
any help much appreciated!

Could you clarify what email address you’re trying to use when you sign up? Please note, the email address will appear redacted in the forums, but it will be visible to staff.
