I haven’t posted anything in WordPress since January, but I’ve been using it for years for free. I wrote and published a blog post today. It seemed to successfully post, but when I tried to share it on Facebook, it didn’t work (link goes nowhere for everyone who tries, except for me – When I click on it, I am taken back to my post in Edit mode, and given various options regarding my domain. I am not very tech savvy. I write, I post. I can figure out a lot of things, but none of this is very well explained, and they are offering AI to answer questions about it. I don’t even know where to begin. I have always used this service for free. I started allowing ads on my blog in order to continue to use it for free. What do I need to do now?

Is the URL you shared on Facebook different than the one above? Did you have an issue at all where the post could not be loaded right away, but after brief wait it started showing up?

Yes. It eventually worked correctly; but I had to go back and delete the link I had shared – which looked correct, but led readers to nothing. I kept getting the offer to own my domain, and couldn’t seem to do anything else without first replying to that. I wasn’t ready to make a decision about that, and simply wanted to share the post I’d written. It was just stuck, in edit mode, insisting I make a decision about owning my domain, when I had just shared a faulty link to readers who were waiting for the correct link. I logged out several times. Eventually, it worked. I tried to remove this, as the problem had resolved, but was unable to do so.
