Why is WordPress telling me to renew a domain registered elsewhere?

  WordPress says my domain is expiring, but it’s registered elsewhere (easily.co.uk) and I point it at my WordPress blog through DNS settings. Do I need to worry?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi James!
  It is not your domain that is expiring here at WordPress.com, but rather your Domain Mapping upgrade. This is the service that connects your WordPress.com site to your domain hosted at http://www.ascio.com/ .

  If you would like your site to continue to function in the manner it currently does, you do need to renew that upgrade to keep the mapping current.

  Your domain mapping is set to expire on 7/21/2014. If you’re interested in renewing, you can click Store → My Upgrades in your site’s Dashboard and choose Renew Now.
