Why isn't Google able to crawl my pcitures anymore?
-
Dear Support-Team,
two days ago I bought a WordPress.com Upgrade for 99€. Since then, Google has Not subscripted any pictures anymore. Before this Upgrade, I could find all my pictures by searching via Google-picture-search. How does this come?
Thanks

Howdy Janine,
It looks like your images are still appearing in Google searches on my side. For example, I searched for an image from this post:
It turned up as shown here:
The Premium bundle should not affect how your site appears in Google. Could you let me know what image or what search isn’t working correctly on your side?

Hi Jeremy,
thanks for your answer.
Here is one example of my problem when searching for my pictures:
As you can see there is no result at all.
If I search for “stempeln stanzen staunen” again no result, although had several matches two days ago.
I am wondering why there are no results at all?
Thanks

Hi Janine!
Thanks for providing an example. I grabbed the following image:
https://stempelnstanzenstaunen.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php?item=39
I then ran this through a Google search as shown here:
It looks like the images are still appearing in Google searches. Unfortunately, we have little control over the searches the appear under. For example, we cannot force the images to appear under a search for “stempeln stanzen staunen”. Right now, it looks like your images are being indexed as their appearing in my examples. I can’t say for sure why they aren’t appearing in that specific search though.
I would recommend setting up your site with Google’s webmaster tools as indicated here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
Additionally, you may want to consider giving more specific Title and Alt attributes to your images.

Hi Jeremey,
thanks for your feedback.
That’s a pity as everything was fine two days ago when searching with those mentioned keywords.I am working with those tools, analysing meta data and keywords. Apparently some parameters must have changed.
Thanks

The only thing I could think of that would change your search engine results would be changing your domain. Otherwise, I’m not sure what could have caused this. Perhaps Google did some re-indexing. Adding titles and descriptions to your images should help though!
