There is no upgrade aside from your blog being accepted into VIP hosting http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ that allows you to run Google Analytics.
This is a multi-user blogging platform. Our blogs share a common architecture. We bloggers cannot access metadata on free hosted WordPress.com blogs and install any tracking code, we have no FTP access and we cannot install plugins. Stats >
Note we cannot install Google Analytics.

anything at all stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ FTP access, and plugins are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs. -
Why isn’t google analytics offered on a wordpress.com blog yet?
There is no intention of introducing it here. We bloggers cannot access the <header> area and insert any tracking codes on our free hosted WordPress.com blogs period.

How can I switch my .com blog to a .org site. I am using my site as a business and have already registered my domain. But now I am realizing that I need to be able to use google analytics and plugins to keep my site professional.
If I had of known at the beginning that this would happen, I would have gone with .org, but now it’s too late. What should I do?
THANKYOU
