Why isn't it easier to transfer links from one blog to another?

  The forum discussion at

  pretty much summarizes the problem I’m running into:

  1. The “import blogroll” function doesn’t handle categories correctly when the OPML file is generated from another WordPress site that has link categories.

  2. This “export/import links” function (especially since it mostly already exists) should be incorporated in the export/import for WordPress -> WordPress.

  That does sound like a useful suggestion and an annoying bug.
