Why isn't my domain mapping working?

  I am trying to add a domain mapping to my wordpress site for a domain that I already own. After completing the form and progress thru Paypal checkout, I keep getting the error “DNS CNAME for blog.mickwhite.com needs to point to mickwhite32.wordpress.com”. The CNAME record is set up correctly in my DNS so I don’t see why this error is occurring. Any thoughts?

  I have the exact same issue. I’ve create CNAME for:
  blog.zeddba.co.uk CNAME zeddba.wordpress.com.

  But when trying to purchase a domain mapping for subdomain I get the following error message:
  DNS CNAME for blog.zeddba.co.uk needs to point to zeddba.wordpress.com.

  I’ve seen this on other threads, so seems common problem.
