Why isn't my gravator showing up on my posts?

    My gravatar isn’t showing up on blog posts. I have set the gravatar in My Profile and associated it with my blog email account, and the correct gravatar pops up on the hovercard over the picture at the bottom of each post…but for some reason the picture itself is always a white square with a pink dotted-line X in it (looks like a placeholder icon). Can someone help me figure out why the gravatar isn’t showing up? Thanks!

    Gravatars do not display on posts. They display on comments.

    After you log into your WordPress.com blog, you can upload your gravatar image here > Dashboard > Users > My Profile.

    Do note that it will not change instantly because the images are cached and that means it takes time ie. sometimes a couple of days for them to change.

    To enable Gravatar display and hovercard display on your blog go to > Settings > Discussion and scroll way down the page to “Avatars”.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/gravatar-hovercards/ That’s also where you can set a maximum rating and default avatar for gravatar display on your blog.

    Thank you, timethief, for your response! I have uploaded my gravatar image on my profile, and I have enabled the hovercard display (several weeks ago, so plenty of time has passed). Both of those appear to be correct. The problem is that the image isn’t showing at the bottom of each individual post. For example, if you open up the permanent link to any post (say, this one) and scroll to the bottom, you’ll see my little profile blurb and alongside it a white square with an X-shaped pattern of pink triangles and squares. If you hover over it, the hovercard pops up and shows the correct gravatar image, but aside from that the gravatar does not appear to be populating the profile blurb.

    Another example would be on this page itself – if you look at your name, it has a nice little picture of a woman (you, presumably, or at least the image you chose for your profile) next to it. Next to mine is that same X-shaped pattern of pink triangles and squares. How do I get my profile pic to show up like yours does?
