Why isn't my Twitter name showing?

I had a previous twitter name “PsycLou” and changed it recently to “LouCyo.” However, I can’t seem to be able to have WordPress publicize with the new twitter name (i.e., LouCyo). I’ve tried to delete the twitter account registered on my WordPress Settings and adding it again, but it did not work. What do I need to do in order to have my blog posts to be shared on twitter with the correct twitter name? Thanks so much.

I’d suggest logging into the Twitter account you were using first, PsycLou, and “Revoke access” to WordPress.com. Twitter: Settings => Apps => Revoke Access.
Then go back into your Sharing settings in the WordPress dashboard and delete the current Twitter connection and then click on Save Changes.
Finally, try adding the new Twitter account.
If that doesn’t work, let me know, and we can get this to the attention of the Support team.

Hey, chrisegg. Thanks for the reply. I followed your steps, but the problem continues to be the same. Also, I may have forgot to mentioned that “@LouCyo,” which is my current twitter username, was previously “@PsycLou.” So it’s the same account, but the name got changed. I would appreciate if I can get whatever help because when I share my posts on twitter it gives credit to another person who took the twitter username “@PsycLou.”

According to an old post I found, it’s cached on Twitter’s end and will sort itself out in time.
