Why isn't my Twitter username change registering in sharing settings?

    I have Twitter sharing enabled on my blog, but the Twitter username that comes up when you click the share button is not my username–it’s my old username that I changed a few years ago. I’ve entered my current username in the appropriate box under sharing settings but it hasn’t registered the change (the box in settings has the correct name displayed, but sharing to Twitter from an actual post doesn’t register the change). I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting my Twitter account and clearing my cache and cookies and it still isn’t working (I’ve attempted probably 4-5 times). Can you please help me change this setting so some poor random person with my old username isn’t getting mentioned in all these tweets?

    This happens some times. Staff can fix it. Please let us know what is the old, incorrect username that currently appears and what is the new, correct username that should appear. Once you’ve replied with that info, add “modlook” to the tags area on the right and and then wait for staff to reply.

    Hi! I have the same problem.
    Mu old Twitter username is @StephLavoie218 and the new one is @leSensduStyle.

    Can you please correct that!
