Why isn't Pakistan listed as a country in Credit Card page?

  Hi

  Why isn’t Pakistan listed as a country in the Country drop-down on the Credit Card payment field (on the domain mapping page)? How am I to pay for anything I wish to purchase on the website?

  I think it is silly for WordPress not to list it, when most other sites have it. I’ve just finished up setting WordPress on my custom domain, and when I realised the only way to map my current WordPress.com blog to it is to purchase a domain mapping plan from WordPress, I find that I can’t because my country isn’t listed on the form. How would I go about doing it?

  The two methods are either to use a prepaid card from another country or pay with bitcoin. WordPress uses PayPal to process payments and are limited to taking credit cards fro PayPal-supported countries.

  I’m so sorry but your country Pakistan is not a PayPal supported country found on this list. WordPress.com uses PayPal as their payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

  PayPal have chosen to block payment from your country, so you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country.
  
  In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

  The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

  Neither me nor timethief are WordPress staff, these forums are mainly supported by volunteers, though staff do look in also.
