Why isn't setting my static page and hiding the second link not working for me?

  Setting my static page and hiding the second link on the navigation menu is not working. Please help. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

  Please use the Custom Menus feature to manually manage menu items. You can find this at ‘Appearance’ -> ‘Menus’ in your Dashboard.
