Why isn't text that I bold in posts appearing bold when published?

    Bold text using the tags is not rendering on published posts.

    I should note that I use the custom design feature on wordpress.com. The CSS for my blog is modifying the sandbox theme (v1.61). Bold appears fine on mobile but not on desktops, which uses some modified CSS. I cannot find anything amiss in my CSS.

    More: My blog posts look fine in the WP.com editor and the tags are found in the html source on published pages, such as this:

    Reading from The Secret Life of Pronouns I was able to find possible answers: A, B, Both, or Neither.</p>

    That appears with no bold text, but the book title is indeed italicized on the published post.

    Hey Marc,

    I took a look at your blog and the bold text is showing up for me. If you’re still having problems with this, let me know and we’ll take a closer look.
