Why isn't the slider feature working in many of the themes I try?

I have been trying to change my theme from the Sight theme to something new and more minimal but still have the nice slider feature. I’ve tried Triton Lite, Oxygen, various others and none of them are allowing me to use the slider feature. I have the posts I want to scroll across the slider tagged as “featured” and I also have them marked “sticky”. My customization option is set to have my homepage display my latest posts (not a static page). Can this be fixed?

I see that you’ve landed on the Business Identity theme. Is this what you’d like to stay with? If so, I can talk you through the setup of your post slider. If you’d prefer to go back to one of the previous themes, please install it, and let me know when you’re ready. I can help you with that one instead.
