Why isn't the transfer option showing up, and how can I transfer it?

I want to move http://www.theheadachecoach.wordpress.com into my http://janmundo.wordpress.com account with my other blogs, so I won’t have to log in and out of accounts on my computer each time. However, the transfer blog option doesn’t appear. (It does appear for a hidden blog that I don’t actually use at this time.) I’m not sure and don’t quite remember, but perhaps The Headache Coach was originally in the other account years ago. I may have created a separate account (the current one), so I could have a unique user name for The Headache Coach. It’s no longer worth logging in and out of accounts on my computer to do so. How can I transfer it? Thanks!

Could you please verify for me which account you want this transferred to? I don’t know that I’ll be able to do it for you, but I’m trying to sort out exactly what has happened here and if in the process I or our developers can get it over to the correct account I’d like to be prepared with the correct information!

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I’d like my theheadachecoach.wordpress.com blog to be transferred to my user account: janmundo. I just checked again to see if the “transfer” option was available, in case I’d previously encountered a glitch in the system, but it’s not.

Before I do the deed, do I understand correctly that every last thing published, unpublished, photo library, settings, design/appearance will transfer to my designated account? Is there anything I need to do to make sure that I don’t lose anything? Thanks!

Yes, everything goes to the other user. I like to think of it as an actual notebook that you’re writing in. You’ve got it open and are writing down your thoughts, putting some photos in, etc. But then you want to give it to someone else so you close it (with all the photos and scraps in place) and hand it to someone else.
At that point they have it all. It’s not yours, you have no access to it, and they can do with it as they want. All the photos and bits are still in place, just under someone else’s control.
In this case that someone else is still you, but the comparison is still handy!
