Why My Blog is not found during a web search or site search

  I tried a web search for my username and blog on both the web and site, but it did not come up. Why?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You have only been blogging for a couple of hours and you expect Google to find you already?

  You have one post dated today. Google and the other search engines can take up to 6 weeks get you placed in searches. Each time you publish a post, wordpress pings all major seach engines and services, so within a week they should know about you, but as I said, it will take a little time for them to figure out where to put you and it will take 6 months to a year for you to gain enough ranking to start appearing higher in searches.

  Also with very broad categories or tags such as “Oakland Raiders” you are likely to be tens of thousands of pages into a search. Oakland Raiders, when typed into the google search box with quote marks brings back 7,880,000 hits.
