Why my blog's bookmark icon has still been previous on Safari browser?

  Hello, everyone

  Currently, I’ve changed my blog’s profile photo to be other one, at the same time I’ve changed the site icon’s image in Site Profile to be another (it’s same to my profile’s photo) as well.

  Fortunately, on Google Chrome browser or Firefox, my blog’s site icon has all changed to be latest small image, and on Word Press’s Forums or Support area, my profile image has also changed to be another.

  But unfortunately, on my mobile phone, my blog has been save to a bookmark and its bookmark’s icon has still been previous icon (by the way, I’ve also updated the setting of mobile options).

  Hi Quanwen,

  I’ve seen that happen before, and it was because the images were stored locally on the device.

  Can you try to remove the bookmark on your phone, remove cache and cookies (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201265) and then add the bookmark again?

  Thanks for your vice advice, I retry it many times on my IPhone SE and it has still no any effect.

  Afterwards I try to use anyone else’s IPhone 6s and save my blog website to a bookmark on his safari browser and it’s my latest small icon.

  This is a workaround at least. Thank you very much!

  I expect this would have something to do with the way Safari manages bookmark icons in iOS. 🤔

  The fact that the icon is showing correctly on other iPhones is encouraging. If you’ve already cleared the cache and everything, I’m out of ideas except try again in a few days. 🤞
