Why my comments never show up?

    tried to leave comments on this thread, but all my comments never show up:

    Please try scrolling down to the bottom of the page to see if your comments are waiting for approval from the moderators of the website. Next to your comment, you should see text that says “Your comment is awaiting moderation. “. Unfortunately, if a moderator does not accept your comment, it will not be posted to the thread.

    Your comments may also be accidentally being flagged by Akismet as spam. If you think this may be the case, please try contacting the Akismet support team here to look into your case for you.

    Let me know if this solves your issue!

    Thank you for your help! I don’t see those words anywhere on my page, and my replies are simply “Great!” “Salute!” “Wonderful!”, can’t imagine these words are not accepted. Thanks anyway!

    No problem bisonmitbbs! I actually added a comment too and it’s now awaiting approval while sandwiched in between approved comments. Obviously my “test” isn’t a great comment but it does look like the moderators are potentially approving known regulars. You may just have to wait a bit longer, or Akismet thinks the short replies are spam.
    Either way, I’ve added an Aismet tag and I do believe they’ll be able to confirm this for you if you reach out to support. :)

    The same thing is happening to me. About a week ago I was able to comment perfectly fine, but now when I comment the phrase “your comment is awaiting moderation” does not even appear. The page just refreshes and my comment disappears. It is not the site because other people can comment on it just fine, and I have tried on many different computers, so it must be my account. I was assured the akismet that my posts were not spam. These comments are for a school assignment so I have talked to the people who’s blogs they were and they said they received no notification of me ever commenting. I am very confused why this is happening. Let me know what you think. I can provide links if needed, but it happens on all site and I think it’s related to my account and not the site.

    Did you comment on that site while logged in as this username? I don’t see any comments on that site for your username or its associated email in either spam or deleted comments. Did you perhaps comment using a different email address or username?

    It’s impossible to investigate this if you don’t provide a link to the post where your comments are not appearing.

    I was assured the akismet that my posts were not spam.

    Just to confirm, you contacted Akismet support already?

    I’ve added an Aismet tag and I do believe they’ll be able to confirm this for you if you reach out to support

    Adding an Akismet tag to the forum does nothing, as Akismet support doesn’t monitor the WordPress.com forums. If someone needs help with an Akismet issue they need to contact Akismet support directly at https://akismet.com/contact/

    I was able to comment on their earlier posts, but now my comments don’t show, I don’t get the message, “your comments are awaiting moderation”, and when I talk to them they say they didn’t receive any notification of my comment.

    https://sites.psu.edu/giuliabiondipassion/ is not a WordPress.com site, so we have no control over what happens to your comments there.

    I can see several comments from you in the Spam folder of both the other sites. I’d suggest double checking with Akismet support that they’re not spamming you by accident – provide them with those links so they can see the comments in spam.

    The only other option is that the owners of those sites are spamming you themselves.

    I cannot unspam your comments on those sites without permission from the site owners.

    In that case the only other option is that the site owner is deleting your comments or even that they’ve blacklisted you. It is their right to do so if they wish, and we can’t do anything about that.
