Why no one is answering in live chat support ?
-
I have wordpress.com creator plan, and I have some questions related to my hosting plan, and I am trying to contact support staff via live chat from the last 3 days and surprisingly there is no reply from Hapiness engineers niether on the chat niether on the Email.
What’s happening.
All these claims of 24/7 live chat support are just for sales purpose, I think.
The website I need help with is: dormitory.capitalempireco.com

Hello
Last April I bought (Commerce plan) based on the fact that I could add and create multiple websites.
We built our first website (dormitory.capitalempireco.com) and did not benefit from using the free domain that is given to us as a privilege within the (Commerce plan).
3 days ago we wanted to create a new website (algeriavfs.com) and use the free domain for one year and benefets witht the (Commerce plan), but when we trying to installing the plugins it tells us that we have to (Upgrade to Business), and we already have (Commerce plan).
We have been waiting for a response from you for 3 days and no one has answered us, I ask you to respond to us in the coming hours urgently
The matter is urgent

Let me answer you, WordPress.com does not support multisite. If you want to build multiple sites, you need to purchase a plan for each site.

What will happen if I transfer my Commerce plan from dormitory.capitalempireco.com to algeriavfs.com
ALSO WHAY THE TEAM ANSWER US ONLY IN EMAIL. WHAY YOU DONT ANSWER US ON LIVE CHAT
-
Your team previously told me that I can use the business plan in multiple sites, so we bought it otherwise we don’t need to buy this Commerce plan
Now I want a detailed and accurate report from you if I decide to transfer the Commerce plan from (dormitory.capitalempireco.com) to (algeriavfs.com) site
I want information like:
What can I lose in (dormitory.capitalempireco.com)
Can I transfer and swithc the Commerce plan between sites anytime I need to update or develop the sites ?Does (dormitory.capitalempireco.com) remain working without any problems
I want all these details -
I am also a victim, WordPress.com is not WordPress.org
WordPress.com is currently very abnormal. -
has anyone had any luck contacting Live Support, or has a direct email? I need to get hold of someone urgently but keep going around in circles with the AI support wizard (typical!)
-
Hey abeslakhalc8fc17a8c8,
I’m not a Happiness Engineer so I cannot really give you a report. However I can just let you know that if you do remove the commerce plan from the site, there can be a couple of changes that could happen. Some of the changes can be as follows:
1 – The site name will change to .wordpress.com.
2 – If you are using one of the themes on the commerce plan, the theme will change to one that is available on the free version. (Your content will not be removed).
3 – Plugins that are not supported on the free version will be removed.Read more about managing multiple sites here.
Hopefully this gives you an idea until you get a response from support. -
I have the business plan and technically should be able to use live chat, but keep getting a message that says:
“You are the owner of WordPress.com Business but because you are no longer a user on veggiegrettie.wordpress.com, renewing it will require staff assistance. Please contact support, and consider transferring this purchase to another active user on veggiegrettie.wordpress.com to avoid this issue in the future.”
I am the only person with access to my site, so I don’t understand how they are saying I do not have access. They say to contact support, and when I use the AI wizard it says to click below for live support, but there is nowhere to actually click.

I cannot get into any of WordPress sites!! Even when I use the correct email addresses. Everything seems to have disappeared but my website is still online! What is going on WordPress???
-
Another victim of the 24/7 chat sold on my Commerce Plan, they simply are not responding messages, not solving problems, etc. Better to admit something is not working and we all could understand than letting the problem explode by keeping the promise of 24/7 when it can last days to get an answer.

It’s probably because 1/12 of the employees left. Don’t expect a response anytime soon, the Support team has likely been gutted.

I am also an affected by WordPress.com, but now that @erikreale mentioned this I can say “again” better to tell the truth also to customers, and we tech/business/startup people will understand, instead of affecting customer services without explaining the crisis and just destroying their reputation, which could be prevented in many ways.

@webhostingmgt Agreed. I’ve spent over two weeks trying every method of contacting Support I could think of. If they just announced the reason for the delays instead of pretending it’s just slightly busier than usual, I would’ve stopped adding to the backlog. The reason I found out about the mass resignation was the response times being so terrible, I figured there must be an IT strike or something and checked the news.
