Why no text colour change,or text size options when creating a post?
-
Can anyone please tell me how I can change the colour of the text in a post? Theres an option button for a link to be put in a post – to turn the text blue, and an option for changing text to italics, and even a “bold” option for making text “bold”, but no change of text size, or colour, or underline.
Why is this, when these are common options used, surely, when creating a post.
Blogspot and Blogger have all these features and more – why not WordPress.com?
Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@@richardolga2078 These are the support forums for sites hosted by WordPress.com. Referring to information for the standalone WP software has little if no relevance to sites hosted by WordPress.com.
Please read this https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ to understand better the difference between WPcom (where we are) and standalone WP.

@butlincat – Everything you are asking about is located in the Second Row of buttons in the Visual Editor. If you don’t see that row, you might need to reveal it with the “Kitchen Sink” button at the end of the First Row. https://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/
If you are interested in making overall changes to large parts of your text, rather than on a post by post basis, you may want to look at the Custom Design, Premium or Business bundle which provides several other design tools at an annual fee.
Let us know if you need more help with any of that.
