Why not issue security certificates for paid blog accounts?

Whenever I connect to a paid blog “*.com” I get a security certificate error. Viewing the details, the certificate is valid for “*.wordpress.com” and “wordpress.com”. This seems satisfactory, but would it not be better to issue certificates for the paid blogs, rather than require users to add exceptions for each one?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
