Why not showing my post's hyperlink address when I share my post to Facebook?
-
Hi, guys
I’m not sure whether the issue is the latest version of WordPress.
I share my post to Facebook after I have clicked that button at the bottom of my post, it shows another window, and then I paste my post’s hyperlink on blank text box (in the meantime, quoting post’s icon is always my WordPress site’s icon),
See my 6 screenshots from Firefox below (by the way, the first screenshot is what I directly published from Facebook),

Finally, I examine my shared post on Facebook and have no found the hyperlink address.
But I directly publish post on Facebook and it’ll show that hyperlink address.
Could you guide me to solve it? Thanks a lot.

Hi there,
This is the way a post is shared on Facebook if you use the sharing button below the post.
Have you tried using Publicize which automatically publishes your posts to Facebook? Here’s more information on this:

Hi fstat,
I have used Publicize.
Very appreciate you for giving me nice advice, I eventually understand that a preview of the image of my post usually comes from the first image that I add to my post, if I have no image in my post and it’ll show my blog site’s small icon.
The following screenshot is what I’ve described above,

Hi there,
Do you set a custom description for your posts in the Publicize section of the editor? If you do that the full URL will not post to Facebook. We still send the URL to Facebook, and they use it to generate the preview which links back to your post, but the Facebook Status will only show the customized Publicize message. This is how it’s supposed to work.
Why is it important to you that the URL be visible? People can reach your post by clicking on Facebook’s preview, and it looks much better on Facebook if there isn’t a post URL in the status along with the description. Personally when sharing directly on Facebook I always make sure to manually delete the URL after Facebook generates the preview.
