Why Notifications for My Own Comments on My Blog?

  Why am I now (30 January 2013) receiving notifications (the orange notification light) that I’ve replied to someone’s comment on my blog? Honestly, I’m well aware that I’m commenting on comments left by other readers on my blog! I appreciate the notification gizmo when others comment, but I really don’t need it when I’m simply replying to readers on my blog. Can this be disabled?

  Hi there,

  As you noticed we made a few tweaks to some of the WordPress.com notification features and are still working a few kinks out. At present it is not possible to disable the notifications, but I’ve passed along your feedback to our developers.
