why NS instead of allowing A names?

  I would like to use A records/DNS rather than using name servers (NS) I realize you already have options to implement A, CNAME, etc but I’d rather not have to carry it all over here.

  We cannot support domain mapping via any method other than a nameserver change: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  If you’re worried about DNS, we do have a fully functioning custom DNS panel, which you can use to direct MX records back to your email provider, for example.

  I just mapped my domain and it looks like MX is working fine without having to use your domain controller.

  I couldn’t wait any longer for you people to reply ;)
