Why oh why oh why are my list items all running together?

  Nothing i have tried has helped. I am creating a list, and each item runs together. How can I get each list item to break properly?? I have tried the <p></p> tags. I have tried

• and 10
  in a row, but nothing seems to help. Please help me before I tear all my hair out! :(
