Why only 11 months before renewing upgrades?

  Why is the upgrades renewed in 11 months, when it says 12 months before purchase?? My new premium upgrade, purchased today on the 18th of june, says it will be renewed on may 18th 2015, which is weird since the website said that I was purchasing an upgrade for a year, which would be renewed on june 18th 2015..

  Hello there! Upgrades that are setup for auto-renew are billed a month in advance. That way, if there are any problems with a user’s credit card account, they can be rectified before their domain is in any danger of expiration. You do not lose any time from your 12-month upgrade. If a domain is set to expire in June 2014, and it’s auto-renewed in May 2014, it’ll be extended through June 2015.

  For instance, your recently auto-renewed upgrade for Premium runs through June 18, 2015.

  If you don’t like this billing setup, you can turn off auto-renew. That way, you can renew manually at your convenience. To turn off auto-renew, click Store → My Upgrades. Opt out as you’d like.
