Why on't my website point to the new domain ?
-
I paid for the upgrade but i still cannot get the sight to connect from my wordpress web address to the http://www.everythinganimalsllc.com website
Blog url: http://everythinganimalsllc.wordpress.com/ -
Can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies?. Please note that it might take up to 24 hours before the domain is fully propagated. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It is still connecting to the WordPress.com home page. I now cannot access my own blog and the links i posted on Facebook are not working correctly either.

Hi there,
I’m able to see your blog just fine at http://www.everythinganimalsllc.com/
Please keep in mind that it can take a few hours for domain changes to take full effect across the internet.
Your best bet would be to check again in a few more hours.

Hi Chris. Jut checked again. I am still getting the word press freshly pressed page. Even when I clicked on the link from our previous conversation. Help !

In that case, you’ll need to wait for the domain change to fully propagate to your ISP.
It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.

Ohhh no……. I directed people to the sight ! i’m just positive a million people are trying to read my blog right this second ! Is there anything I can do ?
-
Probably a lot of folks are seeing the correct site by now (for example, Chris and I see it correctly), you just need to wait for your ISP to do their job so you can.
-
Cool guys thanks for the assistance. Since you can see the sight you should read and rate my articles ! They are excellent if i do say so myself ! lol

We seem to have resolved the issue with the propogation of the website. It seems that now my website comes up not only at everythinganimalsllc.com but also at my webmail address of webmail.everythinganimalsllc.com.
I have been told that I need to have u create an A record to reflect webmail.everythinganimalsllc.com @
64.13.227.83
Please advise.
Thanks -
You’ll need to get the correct records from your mail provider, then add those via your Custom DNS panel: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/custom-dns/

MX records stand for mail exchange records. They direct incoming emails to your domain name to the proper mail server. Your mail provider or domain registrar should be able to provide you with the correct MX records so that your e-mail service isn’t interrupted by changing your domain name servers.

I contacted my domain registrar he sent me this please advise :
Here is a brief summary of our conversation:You called in because your webmail isn’t working for everythinganimalsllc.com. It winds up back to the domain. Since your nameservers are pointed away from (mt) Media Temple (to WordPress), this alters how the mail works. Currently, when you go to webmail.everythinganimalsllc.com, it is read like this:
webmail.everythinganimalsllc.com. 0 IN CNAME everythinganimalsllc.com.
everythinganimalsllc.com. 240 IN A 74.200.244.59
everythinganimalsllc.com. 240 IN A 76.74.254.120
everythinganimalsllc.com. 240 IN A 76.74.254.123
everythinganimalsllc.com. 240 IN A 72.233.2.58
everythinganimalsllc.com. 240 IN A 72.233.69.6
everythinganimalsllc.com. 240 IN A 74.200.243.251The CNAME redirects to the domain name and picks one of the IP addresses that are listed here. If you want the email to work, you should add the following records to the WordPress zone file:
webmail.everythinganimalsllc.com A 64.13.227.83
mail.everythinganimalsllc.com A 64.13.227.83
everythinganimalsllc.com. MX 10 mail.everythinganimalsllc.com.The mail.everythinganimalsllc.com is listed as a CNAME as well, so they will need to change that too. Also, your site doesn’t have an MX (Mail eXchange) record, so email won’t work. Those three records should return functionality of the email services (through (mt) Media Temple) and allow webmail to work.
