Why post appear in main page, only with ‘sticky’ selected in Visibility?

    I cannot have new post appear in the main page normally, when I publish they are immediately listed in recent post, in the rss feed, and even indexed by blogSearch, but they don’t get included in the main page without tagging them as ‘sticky’…

    why?!? can it be something template-related (reDoable btw).
