Why so many e-mails?

  How do I keep my wordpress.com blog from e-mailing users every time I post something? I plan to post a lot and don’t want them to get sick of me.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately, you wouldn’t be able to stop this because they were the ones who followed your blog to get emails for every post.

  You nor I can change their delivery settings.

  If they are unhappy with all the emails, they can unsubscribe themselves. There will be a link at the bottom of each post.

  Thanks! Is there a WordPress widget/other way to invite people to follow via e-mail but be able to choose which ones to send out? Or do we have to use an outside source?

  It wouldn’t be possible to choose which one to send out. But, what you can do is set your site to private for the time being and publish the post. That will not send out emails to your followers. Then, when you want to email out notifications, you can turn your site back to public. Please note it may not be immediate, so be aware of that.
