Why sub categories are not showing..?

  Hey dear friends

  can any one help me…? i am having the problem with in my blog sub categories are not showing.
  how to make it visible.?

  As in my blog http://smsarea.wordpress.com SHORT STORIES is the main category. After that two stories name is it’s sub categories. But it’s not showing on my blog.

  so please someone help me.. pls

  The issue is that those two sub-categories are NOT attached to any posts. For any category to display in your Categories Widget, it must be attached to at least one published post.
