Why the editor is messing my pages content? what tips do you give me?
-
Hello.
(see a page example of my design problem here: http://acolombiantraveler.wordpress.com/mongolia/)
I have been writing my blog for 6 months, and I still have a big problem, the page editor messes my content, if you are a blogger, you know what im talking about. Some examples of my problems are:
-I can’t graphically add tables, I know how to add them with the html, but WP makes it difficult at the point I don’t even use tables.
– When images are along with text, the text is misplaced and it is difficult to create the planned visual set up. It is worst if the align is changed or the image is moved by dragging it.
-Text only has H1, H2, H3 sizes, no pixel size. (in the visual view)
-HTML editor does not accept the
tag-The align I see in the visual view is not what I see in the published page.
I just want an advice, Im not asking to solve issues.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

My advice is to stop expecting the software to do what it does not do, like draw tables. Lower your expectations of controlling the formatting.

You have vast quantities of junk “address” code tags in that post. This generally comes from copy/pasting from non-web-compliant software, so don’t do that.
You also have READ MORE in red comic sans and no words to read.

Ok, thanks for the advices.
Happily I know about HTML, so I can go there and change stuff. But I want to spend my time writing content, not writing HTML (content=visitors=$$$ for WP). My girlfriend does not know HTML, in her blog she usually leaves it horribly looking and gets frustrated, WP should mind users like her.
Back to my page, what I want is just text in the right side of the images.
If I select all the text as paragraph, WP inserts an interline between the lines, so I had to go to text and delete those blank interlines. The 1st image looks ok, but to have consecutive images with their text aside, is very challenging without tables. Also, I want the “read more” smaller than the rest, that is not possible right? The result is a horrible page that does not look as I wanted: as you see here: http://acolombiantraveler.wordpress.com/mongolia/
I can fix it playing with the limited HTML WP allows me, but how do people who does not know HTML do?
I will then use what I could, keeping the content simple.
