Why this certificate warning in Opera 12.00?

  Using Opera 12.00 I get a certificate warning when logging into my WordPress account for e.g. commenting on another WordPress.com blog. This started with Opera version 12.00 and was not present in earlier versions of Opera. What is wrong?

  may be browser is unable to identify the wildcard security certificate attached to it
