Why was I charged?

    For some uncanny reason I need to post this to the public forum, because I searched for weeks but there apparently is not way to get in touch with any wordpress staff. This is pretty upsetting.

    Maybe a forum member knows what to do about this? Here’s my message to wordpress:

    Dear employee,

    I have been trying to get in touch with you about this issue for a while, but so far I got no response. On March 21 a €13 charge by WPCHRG.COM appeared on the invoice of my credit card. After some research, it became clear that this was a charge from WordPress. But I am not a customer of yours, as far as I am concerned.

    I have once made a login but I have never used it. I have not ordered and I have never used WordPress actually. Still, I found 13$ charged by WPCHRG.COM / 8772733049 / USA on my credit card.

    Please correct this as soon as possible and remove any of my credit card information that you have from your systems.

    Hello –

    I’m happy to sort this out. I see that on 2017-02-19 the domain mapping for leeesther.com was automatically renewed. It was then cancelled on the same day and a refund was processed for the amount.

    Typically refunds only take 10 days to reach you. Have you been in touch with your bank to inquire about when you should expect the refund? They can also tell you how it will appear on your statement.
