Why was I charged $25
-
I was charged $25 and wan to make sure that this is not a recurring charge. If this is a recurring charge I want to cancel it immediately.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s the cost of an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade.
Registering a .com, .org, or .net domain through WordPress.com and mapping that domain to your site starts at $18.00 per domain and per year, or $25.00 per domain and per year for a .me or .co domain. For $8.00 more, you can also make the domain registration private. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Go to > Dashabord > Store > My Upgrades
See also Dashboard > Store > Billing History -
You can confirm your billing history at > Dashboard > Store > Billing History and that’s where the transaction numbers are found. if there has been an error, you ought to be able to request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.

Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received. -
Adding a question to this … What if you registered your domain through another entity (GoDaddy, for example). Does WordPress still charge you $18??
-
Yes. WordPress.com is not going to domain map any blog free of charge. The charge for mapping to an existing domain is $11. per year. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

I am preparing to renew my domain registration and mapping before its expiration. Last year, I added the Private Registration for $8.00, but have decided not to get that this year. I cannot figure out how to delete it from my renewal form though.
I will be adding “No Ads” and I got that into the cart, but the domain part is separate, it seems.
Thanks for your help, ~ linda -
